On a road trip

On a road trip away from the things known.
It was not her own choice.
No one heard her wee small voice cry out.
Her parent's, they had no doubt.
They wished her to a better place.
And said goodbye with one final embrace.
The car they took her in was small,
their dark eyes bearing no trace of wanting a brawl.
So she let them take her carelessly,
breaking away absentmindly.
She gazed upon the barren lands,
and she understands,
she was no longer home.
